Air Ferrari: Why A Good Cage And Nets Matter

Here is a video produced by the CCR Forza Tifosi Challenge series of a crash at Road America in June of 2015. Two Ferraris get together in turn 4, which causes one 458 to go airborne for 400 feet only to be captured by the catch fencing. The structural integrity of the car and cage are important, but in a spinning crash like this the nets are also key to driver safety. Especially when a door is ripped open.
