Podcast: Dinner With Racers Season 2 Debuts

If you aren’t familiar with the Dinner With Racers podcast series, we highly recommend it.  As a premise for the series, factory Honda driver Ryan Eversley and media producer Sean Heckman drive around the country (in Ryan’s Acura in season 1 and then in a Honda Odyssey in season 2) and “interview” a wide variety of racing personalities, including drivers, officials, engineers and broadcasters. They do the interviews over a meal (not always dinner, though alcohol may be universally involved based on the lines of questioning). The people you think will be interesting generally are, but the people you don’t know about often prove to be more interesting. The format isn’t rigid by any means. 

Season 1 subjects included Jordan and Ricky Taylor, Pat Long, Bob Varsha, Katherine Legge, Jeff Braun, Sarah Fisher, Simon Pagenaud and Tommy Kendall. There were 29 episodes in season 1, and each episode lasts an hour or so. If you like podcasts, this is a lot of racing entertainment and information for a road trip or two.
