All of the recent rain in Austin and Southern California has had us thinking about our experiences racing and running HPDE in the wet. The significant changes to balancing the car in corners, increased braking distances, being even more tender with our inputs; it’s a real set of challenges that demands a lot of focus and nerves. This race from Watkins Glen in 2017 in the Battery Tender Global MX-5 Cup exemplifies how much these come into play, even on a mildly damp afternoon.
