Stream: Top MX-5 Cup Drivers Fight For $75k

By Winding Road Staff

October 11, 2017

As we've pointed out many times, MX-5 Cup offers pretty much the closest road racing in North America, race beginning to race end. Now you can see what happens when you put 20 or so of the best MX-5 Cup drivers from around the world on track for two races that yield a prize of $75k for finishing first. We don't know about you, but we have our guesses about what is likely to occur somewhere between the corkscrew and turn 11 on the last lap of each race (and probably a few times before that).

For one fortunate racer who emerges from the anticipated argy bargy, it will take just 90 minutes to earn $75,000, or more, this Saturday at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca as Mazda stages the first Global Mazda MX-5 Cup Challenge. Winding Road Team TFB will be running two cars (#7 and #56), one of which will be driven by the Japanese Global MX-5 Cup champion Tetsuya Yamano. Both 45-minute races will be live streamed on Saturday, October 14. Race one will be at 12:40 pm PDT, while the second race will start at 5:00 pm PDT. The races can be viewed at:
