Go For The Win: Be On WRR’s 25 Hours Of Thunderhill Team

Features, Racing I By Tom Martin I November 16, 2016

As you may know, we are fans of NASA’s 25 Hours of Thunderhill. The 25 is an epic race staged in December every year at Thunderhill Raceway, north of the Winding Road Team TFB shop in Sonoma, California. For a taste of what Thunderhill is about, you can watch our documentary about the 2013 race here.

For 2016, we have partnered with Fantasy Junction to go for the overall win. We’ll be running the #15 Fantasy Junction with Winding Road Racing Mk 1 Riley Daytona Prototype in the ESR class. Winding Road driver coach and SCCA Pro MX-5 Cup rookie-of-the-year Mark Drennan will be one of four drivers of the #15. Spencer Trenery of Fantasy Junction (Berkeley, California) was the catalyst for this effort and will be the lead-off driver for the program. Trenery brings his established pedigree of professional sports car racing – including the American Le Mans Series and GRAND-AM – to the effort. Multi-time Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona starter Rob Gewirtz (Springfield, OH) joins the driving squad in the Gen. 1 Daytona Prototype.  Our fourth driver will be veteran 25-Hour driver Darrel Anderson (Petaluma, CA), who took 2nd place overall in 2015.
We’d like to invite you to be part of this historic effort. Join us by supporting the team and wearing our colors. We’ve created special Spyder and other custom gear for the team and we’re offering 10% off all these Thunderhill items for orders placed by December 3 (the start of the race). Use Coupon Code: THUNDERHILL10
Charcoal Polo and Charcoal Hoodie have the Thunderhill logo on the Right Chest and WR Racing logo on the Left Chest.
