The Future is Now: Chrysler Imp-Based Pulsar Kit Car

A fiberglass bodied kit car based on the bones of a Chrysler/Hillman Imp… what could possibly be more normal? Actually, we’re told that the Imp ranked right up with the Volkswagen Beetle and Mini Cooper for great cars to build a kit around in the sixties and seventies, we just never knew any of them looked like this.

This bizarrely conceived sports car was probably intended to have that “car of the future” look when it was first built, ensuring that its styling would become dated almost immediately. We can’t help but love it anyway though, like a puppy with only half a tail.
