Large Sedan With Manual Transmission?
Back to Car / Truck Buying -- General
Chevy just announced the Chevrolet SS. 115" wheelbase and 415 hp V-8. The only transmission is an automatic. To my knowledge, there is only one large sedan with a manual and a V-8: the BMW 550i.
The reason, I think, is that manuals are about 2% of sales and certainly less in this segment. So, if Chevy sells 100,000 cars, 1000 would be manuals. Hardly worth it they might think and the dealers would complain because manuals are "hard to move".
But is this wrong? Would you buy one? And are there other examples that say big manuals sell?
