Car: 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG
Involvement Notes: The big-bodied Benz offers remarkable composure despite its size. Epic powerplant sounds great and delivers plenty of power all over the rev range. AMG’s seven-speed DCT is also an excellent piece.
This one’s also surprisingly agile, despite its overall size. Adjustable suspension works well, and dials in just enough involvement when set to Sport.
Sexy as hell; fast as hell; everything we want from our AMG.
Comfort Notes: Everything we’ve come to know and love about M-B interior quality, with a new layer of “cool” on top. Near-silent ride until you wake the monstrous engine.
Despite the sloping roofline, the back seats aren’t too bad. You’d still have more room in an E-Class, but we’re willing to trade some space for some style. Seats are quite comfortable all around, with plenty of support and adjustability, particularly in front.
