According to a recent post on GTspirit
, Bentley will reportedly be inserting its new V-8 powerplant found in the recently released Continental GT V-8 into its flagship vehicle, the Mulsanne.
The 4.0-liter biturbo V-8 should produce slightly more power than that of the Conti GT, which already makes a potent 500 horsepower and 487 pound-feet or torque. Besides increased performance, the new V-8 should contribute to a significant reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions—the Mulsanne's other engine, a biturbo 6.75-liter V-8, got a rough 13 miles per gallon combined.
