Gear Spotlight: Sparco Pro 2000 II Racing Seat

Driver Gear, Reviews I By Winding Road Staff I September 16, 2015
This week we’re taking a look at a new variation of Sparco’s best selling competition seat. Since its debut in 1995, the Pro 2000 has been the throne of choice for numerous championship winning drivers, and the Pro 2000 II takes all the fundamentals of Sparco’s proven design and expands the dimensions, making the Pro 2000 II ideal for larger drivers.

Check out our guide of the best racing seats.

One inch wider in the lower section of the seat compared to the Pro 2000, this new version still provides the excellent ergonomics of its smaller sibling – a design that cradles the body for greater performance – while also maintaining the durability and safety the original is known for.

Constructed from a fiberglass composite that yields a strong, rigid shell, the Pro 2000 II features a split leg seating cushion to increase comfort, deep side bolsters and adjustable lumbar support pads that allow each driver to find an ideal setup for their body type, and unique non-slip fabric which is positioned around the shoulders to keep the driver firmly in place without interfering with movement.

To protect the seat from tears that can occur when getting into and out of the car, special anti wear material has been added to the edges of the seat for extra reinforcement.

Like the Spacro Pro 2000, the Pro 2000 II is FIA approved, and it’s available in black and red colors. Take a look at the chart below to see how the Pro 2000 II compares to its smaller counterpart.
