Acura Tweets First NSX Prototype Photo

Acura has posted a photo on Twitter of a running NSX prototype on what appears to be a test track. In addition, it announced that the car will take a lap on live television ahead of the Mid-Ohio Indy 200 on Sunday, August 4.
 
The all-wheel-drive hybrid uses a mid-mounted VTEC V-6 along with electric motors and a dual-clutch transmission. The NSX will be built at a new Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio. Mass production is scheduled to begin in 2015.
 
To see the NSX prototype live in action, tune into NBC on August 4 at 3:00 pm Eastern.
