When a car stalls during a standing start it can cause some serious havoc. Henrique Cisneros in the No. 30 MOMO NGT Motorsport Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia illustrated this very effectively when he stalled at the start of Race 1 in the GT class race during Cadillac Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Among the numerous competitors taken out of the race, the No. 37 Blancpain Racing Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2, piloted by Maximilian Voelker, seems to take some of the worst of it as he gets bounced around like a pinball by multiple collisions before he even gets a chance to cross the starting line.
The incident would bring out a full course yellow. Here we get a chance to see the incident from the perspective of Sloan Urry in the No. 02 Engel & Volkers Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, Colin Thompson in the in the No. 11 Porsche of Bucks County/Penn Valley Constructors/Sherwin Williams Automotive Finishes/Austin Hatcher Foundation Kelly-Moss Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and Alec Udell, in the No. 17 Amsource Capital, Panther Pipeline GMG Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
Polesitter Ryan Eversley in the No. 43 RealTime/Acura Motorsports/HPD Acura TLX-GT would go on to win the race.
