WRR TV: 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Hot Lap at Road America

Ride along with us as we do a lap around Road America during the 2016 Midwest Automotive Media Association Spring Rally.

The standard GT350 uses the same flat-crank 5.2-liter V8 as the GT350R, which dishes out 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque, and is hooked to a Tremec six-speed manual transmission.

The braking system is identical to the GT350R’s as well as is comprised of 15.4-inch rotors up front, clamped by Brembo six-piston fixed calipers with integrated caliper bridges, while 14.9-inch rotors with four-piston calipers can be found in the rear.

Inside, an all-new drive-mode system allows selection of five unique settings that change the characteristics of the ABS, stability control, traction control, steering effort, throttle mapping, MagneRide tuning and exhaust settings.
