Step 1: Get Noticed — How To Have Your Car Be More Visible On Track

Features, Racing I By Winding Road Staff I August 15, 2016

A proper livery for you race team can make a big difference in how much you get noticed and how sponsors respond to your proposals. We recently went through a new livery development process with Andy Blackmore Design, triggered by the 2016 SCCA Pro Mazda MX-5 Cup season. We thought you might enjoy some of the story behind creating a livery that works in social media and on TV.

Andy says “From the outset, I wanted to focus on the bold WR graphic as the basis for the livery. With the next chapter of the MX-5 cup in the offing and a strong order book, it was clear the MX-5 grid would be jam-packed with over 40 cars, so a bold graphic was even more important than ever.” He goes on to show details of his evolving ideas in an article that provides a complete overview of the process he went through to arrive at the new Winding Road Racing livery.
If you are interested in running a WRR MX-5 Cup car in SCCA Pro or Pirelli World Challenge for the 2017 season, contact our competition services department. We’d love to discuss your needs and our capabilities.
